These silent ‘third parties’ will break your relationship

We have all gotten involved in a relationship at any given time be it a family relationship, friendship, etc. however, the most important relationship we value is the relationship between a man and a woman. Its something we treasure so much that we often don’t want it to end, but for most of us, these kinds of relationships end once or twice before we find who best suits us.

You should pay attention to the behaviors that are likely to break your relationship if you don’t want the love between you and your partner to end. We might have thought that the most dangerous threat is a third individual coming in between the relationship. However, what if I inform you that the third party is not always another person?  Take note of these silent “third parties” that will break your relationship.

Insecurity

This means a lack of confidence or anxiety about oneself. This makes a person feel like they are not enough. This is a very common problem among couples.

This insecurity will make it hard for one partner to trust the other resulting in unreasonable behavior. Check out your behaviors today. Are you worried about how you look? Are you worried about where your partner goes or who he or she meets? Are you controlling your partner in ways that are not reasonable? Talk to your partner and make things work before it’s too late.

Over-dependence

This means relying excessively on someone for support and attention. An over-dependent individual always wants the other person to be there with him or her every time. They can’t give each other space.

This habit is likely to push the other party away as they will always be thinking if they are a partner or a servant. Talk with your partner if you feel like he or she has this behavior. This will save your future problems.

Miscommunication

This means speaking with your partner freely without hiding anything. We all know that a key to a healthy relationship is communication. Nevertheless, not everybody can communicate with his or her partner.

People might find it hard to communicate due to several reasons; anger, lack of confidence and unwillingness to communicate. Communication usually breaks down completely when one party finds it hard to communicate with the other party especially on important things and this normally leads to a myriad of misunderstandings.

Inferiority complex

This is a complicated issue. This is when you feel like you aren’t enough. This is inadequate self-esteem that could be developed through personal characteristics and negative personal experience.

People with inferior complex usually overcompensate excessively in everything they do. This might lead to annoying traits like being a perfectionist. If you think there’s a problem with your self-esteem, work on it.  If you aren’t sure, speak to your partner about your concerns.

Always in need of a perfect relationship

No perfect relationship exists in this world. Know that always. We should know that when we walk into a relationship, we walk into it knowing that our partner has certain flaws that we may not like and we are not going to change them. We cannot create a perfect relationship with a flawed partner.

We are all flawed in some manner and want a perfect relationship. Do not expect a perfect relationship and enjoy your imperfect relationship the way it is.

Having a narcissistic character

This having an over fondness of your physical and mental capability. Being a narcissistic partner means there’s no place for your partner in your mind. For your partner to be heard, they will have to always battle with your inflated self-image.

This makes your partner feel neglected and unappreciated. Start appreciating your partner today, if you feel like you haven’t been doing that in a while.

Trying too hard to please anyone

If you do this, it either means you are insecure or you have an inferior complex. You might think by doing that you are pleasing your partner, but it’s the other way round. When you begin pleasing your partner, he or she is likely to take you for granted. To prevent all these, start being yourself just the way you are. Do not please anyone, especially your partner.
